I collect quite a few different things with varying degrees of urgency and completeism. Two things i would love to collect, yet lack the funds to do so ,are 1970's space age furniture and vintage space toys. This site BERGIN TOYS is a Mecca for vintage space toys.My god these are beautiful.
Man i keep seeing the commercials for the film and i am sooo geeked! My son is digging it as well and said he wants to go.This could be a great bonding movie for us.Me and my wife took him to see the Bee Movie as his first film and about half way thru he said"Dad,I'm bored.Lets go to the park."
The first time i started playing this game i thought it sucked. It was unlike anything i played before and i had just come off of playing splinter cell.So i was going from an "open world finish the mission how you want" game to an "on the rails" shooter.I picked up KILLER 7 at a Target for $11.After playing it that first time i thought i wasted $11.A couple weeks went by and i gave it another try.I would say now i would list this in my top 5 video games of all time.
Ive been gaming since my first Atari and Intellivision days.I now have a Playstation 3,2,Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo WII and 64 all hooked up in my art studio. This game was first released on the Gamecube. It was later released on the Playstation 2.You can find the game pretty cheap i think. The game sold poorly but luckily the studio, SUDA51,continued to make games. They made No More Heroes for the WII that i will pick up eventually.Hell,i would by just about anything SUDA51 put out, that's how good KILLER 7 was.

BOINGBOING posted this awesome video called Twist Barbie. It freaked me out a little because its almost like they rammed a video tape in my head and these are the images my mind made.
Speaking of the Twist, watch the fabulous Lady Miss Kier Twist her cute tooshy off in this video. It makes me tired just watching her.(Well...tired among other things.)
If i made a list of my favorite foods and food products, bacon would be in the top three but- COME ON!Bacon toothpicks?Bacon salt?Kevin Bacon?Bacon Bras?Websites where hipsters wearing scarves in the summer wrap Wendys Baconators IN bacon and eat them?
Bacon is an awesome food, burn mine to a crisp please but hipsters you are donating to much time and thought trying to make a diamond more appealing when in fact you've tarnished said diamond in my eyes.
This lightsaber battle is by far the best of the series and one of the most epic scenes in a film full of them.I prefer this fight as apposed to the new "flipping thru the air aerobic style" lightsaber fights OF the inferior prequels. This battle has weight. It is Luke's first meeting with Vader, the man who killed his father.Watch the way Vader's red blade just appears when Luke draws his blade.Watch how Vader pushes him down one handed style with his blade.Listen to the soundtrack swell and ebb.Watch Mark Hamill act his ass off (fuck the haters Hamill rules!)
My friend Jeremy works with me and he was walking by my office and heard the sabers so he popped in and i was explaining my post and he made a case for the lightsaber finally in return of the Jedi. That is probably my second favorite and definitely an epic fight.Watching Luke push Vader back and give in to his anger after Vader teases he may turn Leia to the dark side is truly epic.the camera pans left as the music swells and the shadows play against the background.
I keep finding cool pictures i want to share so I'm "doubling up" and posting 5 random shots now. When i started this blog i knew i didn't want it to just be a photo blog.Blogs like SUICIDEBLONDE and THISISNTHAPPINESS do it so good my attempt would be futile. But pictures are worth a thousand words so here's five-thousand for you.
Boardgamegeek.com is my new favorite site. Its the nets #1 resource for all things board game.Since my falling out with star wars and more specifically, with lucas and the clone wars,i started collecting board games. While searching for info on Heroquest i came upon this wonderful site. All the games are categorized by type, popularity, genre, etc. They have fan written reviews, which anyone can write. They have people write about play sessions. They also help with rules, finding parts, some game designers are members, they list ebay sales as well as run there own sell and trade options. The people are way friendly and even though I'm a huge noob i am never made to feel like one. They also have these awesome lists that are fan written like THE MOST OVERPRODUCED GAMES OR LAST GAME PURCHASED,THAT YOU REGRET.it is the most informative ,friendly, deep , site when it comes to board games and its super fun even if you don't geek out gaming.I cant tell you how much i adore this site.Poke around a bit and enjoy!MY BOARDGAMEGEEK PAGE KENCHAN13
My son is sick today. He has a fever and while its not his first time sick or anything i am thinking extra of him today while i slave away at work. The Creed song 'With Arms Wide Open' came on and that mixed with the stress of work and lack of sleep just hit me hard i guess.I suspect one day he'll read this blog to see where his dads head was some days and i wanted this post to be specifically for him.I love you son.
